  • I have posted awhile back on the  helpfordesperate, and with no response to it, Just an update of where we are today, it is finally over, court and being awarded full custody of my children, it was defintely a rollercoaster, emotionally and financially, but well worth it.  We are a full house now, eight of us all together, and we still don't qualify for any state assistance, like food stamps, I have managed to get signed up for the food pantry once a month, I hit the action agencies for free food, I go to the masters closet every Saturday for free clothes, and I was able to plant a garden to grow alot of our produce, I know I probably won't get any help from anyone out there, but what's it going to hurt to ask, Sometimes it seems like the ones who works hard always fall short, and every little bit that can be pledged would be a blessing to help us get back on our feet,  Thank you, The Richeson's

Due to the cost of living increase and inflation, I would ask your child support enforcement services and petition the court for amending the child support order.

The court should enforce the potential of income your ex would make if he were working a legit taxable job. Don't take his reluctance to work intimidate you. He will still owe child support regardless if he cannot pay.

Contact your Human Services for more information about recieving financial help and support enforcement.

I was awarded child support from a man who has never held down a real job, all his jobs he has done has been under the table, so we went with the lowest amount @ 6.50 pr hour,  40 hour week, 3 children 650 pr month child support that I will never see, I do have medical care through the state for all the kids, except me- thank goodness, as far as tANif works is that I have to be looking for a job, which I can't because I can't afford to pay for child care, I have a special needs child that attends a  private school, and the 2nd graders school doesn't provide busing so I have to take her and pick her up, then Tanif goes after/ if any child support that they pay you, My new husband who we have 3 together his job has done the same thing shipped the major part of the work overseas, cutting back on any overtime he use to be getting, which averages 600 pr month we are at lost, and by state standards, my husband makes 60 dollars over the income table to get any food stamp assistance, Thank you for taking the time to read my post, god bless to you and may hope come to you too in your time of needs, Richeson

Do you recieve financial assitance in court ordered child support?

Contact your county human services offices and file for support and TANIF. if not, you should qualify for medical care for your children. The last thing you need is medical bills. I'm in the same boat with a $7,000 student loan and searching for seven years for a job.

With jobs going overseas and unsrupulous employers hiring undocumented workers for cheap labor, we are all going to suffer unless we all become active in the political process and vote.

Contact the United Way at their phone--211 and apply within your local catholic charities. Check out my Web site here on Aidpage for past info I have given to others in your situation.

If I could help more--I'll keep you in mind.
